The role of active B6 in tryptophan metabolism: Tri-Phos-B is a B complex specifically designed to support amino acid chemistry. It does not need to be taken with food, and increases the response to any amino acid product or formula. We strongly recommend this Tri-Phos-B if you are taking any amino acids.

.  Increase the effectiveness of amino acids.

.  Contains the bioactive forms of Vit. B-6, B-1, and B2

.  These B vitamins must be present for the conversion of tryptophan to Serotonin - if they are not available, that conversion cannot occur

    .  B-1, B-2, and B-6 are frequently low in many people's diet

.  Have a role in the manufacture of more than 60 enzymes, including digestive enzymes

.  The B vitamins in Tri-Phos-B are critical to break protein down into amino acids, the raw materials for repairing tissue and recovering from stress

Many nutrients work together in concert within the body. In the case of tryptophan, vitamin B6 is absolutely necessary for the metabolism of this essential amino acid. In addition, the B-6 must be in the active form.

For this reason, we always recommend Tri-Phos-B. This is a specialized, advanced B vitamin formula, an ideal source of cofactors for tryptophan:

. It is protected by enteric coating to make sure that these particular B vitamins survive transit through the stomach and are properly absorbed.

. The nutrients in Tri-Phos-B are all in their active form. This means that they do not need to be metabolized in the liver. They are ready to be immediately utilized by the body, which maximizes the effectiveness of amino acids.

These two aspects of this formula ? B vitamins in their active form, protected by enteric coating ? make this a unique and important supplement, ideal to support amino acid utilization in the body.

    Dosage and Directions

You can take 1 or 2 Tri-Phos-B tablets whenever you take amino acids. Generally, we recommend taking this formula and amino acids away from food. Although they can be taken with meals if necessary, it is much preferable from 30 minutes before to 1 ½ hour after meals.

How do you know if it's working?

For most people Tri-Phos-B seems to clearly increase the effectiveness of any amino acid supplement they are taking.

    Special Considerations

There are no general contraindications to this product.

I'd like to share with you the story of the development of Tri-Phos-B, the most effective bioactive B vitamin product we have seen. This exceptional formula was developed by Don Tyson, a PhD biochemist who is one of the most knowledgeable people in the world regarding amino acid chemistry. He operated probable the best amino acid testing laboratory for many years doing amino acids tests on more that 60,000 individuals, ranging from athletes in superb condition to people with life-threatening diseases.

Through this work, he observed that many people did not have the active B vitamins necessary for the metabolism of amino acids. Although they were getting these vitamins in their diet or in nutritional supplements, they were unable to convert B-6 into a form that could be utilized by the body. To create an active form of B-6, for example, it must first go through a process in the liver called phosphorilization. This creates the bioactive or coenzyme form of the vitamin (called P-5-P). When that process isn't working, there will not be enough of the bio-available form of B-6 to metabolize amino acids such as tryptophan.

Don Tyson also tracked the effectiveness of P-5-P nutritional supplements and found that they didn't seem to help. The bioactive P-5-P was being destroyed by stomach acid before it could be utilized. (It's important to note that generally, stomach acid is very beneficial,) He then undertook to develop an enteric coating that protects the nutrients from breaking down. He administered the different versions of the new product to his clients and observed the effects in the amino acid tests to determine the most effect formula and tablet coating technology. Tri-Phos-B is the result of this work. So we are able to say with confidence that this is the most effective supplement of bioactive B vitamin, especially P-5-P.

    Supporting Products

Tryptophan - The amino acid that is required to for the brain to produce the neurotransmitter serotonin. Low levels of serotonin are implicated in depression, insomnia, anxiety disorders and PMS.

AntiOx Cysteine Free - Antioxidants not only improve amino acid absorption, they also protect us against heart disease and cancer.

Our moods and sleep are regulated by powerful brain chemistry, particularly serotonin, one of our most important neurotransmitters. Low serotonin levels have been identified as a cause of depression in hundreds of research studies. Serotonin is made in the brain from tryptophan, an essential amino acid. Tryptophan is the raw material the brain requires to make serotonin.

Tryptophan is a component of most proteins. Unfortunately, stress can deplete tryptophan. A number of other factors can also lead to tryptophan deficiencies, which in turn result in low levels of serotonin.

Extensive research has shown that tryptophan supplements raise serotonin levels. By using a nutritional supplement, we are simply providing the raw material the body needs to produce serotonin. Raising serotonin is a vital step in addressing depression, anxiety, PMS mood swings, and insomnia. The ability of tryptophan to support the body's production of this absolutely critical neurotransmitter is what makes tryptophan such an important, sought-after nutritional product.
