| Amino Acid Support: All-Basic, Ocudyne II, and AntiOx
|
| This excellent multi-antioxidant formula provides the broadest range of protection against free radicals. Free radicals are the reactive chemicals produced when we are under any kind of stress and are also caused by environmental toxins. Research has shown beyond a doubt that free radicals damage is a major factor in heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer's, arthritis, and aging. Antioxidants are basic long term health protection, because they: . Increase the absorption of amino acids . Protect against the dangerous aspects of stress . Are important for anyone exposed to heavy traffic, air pollution, second hand smoke, radiation, pesticides, or chemicals . Protect against free radicals ? reactive chemicals linked to heart disease and cancer . Are a vital component of any anti-aging program
| We can't begin to tell you how important antioxidants are. They are our primary protection against free radicals, the reactive chemicals that damage delicate cell membranes upsetting our bodies' function at the most fundamental level. This is described as oxidative stress. Anti-oxidants provide basic protection against oxidative damage. This protective effect is reason enough to take antioxidants. When you are supplementing with amino acids, there are more benefits as well. By including an antioxidant, you're maximizing the return on your investment. This is because aminos are absorbed better when antioxidants are present. So pairing these supplements yields double benefit. The amino acids also work better when there is a good supply of antioxidants. This is because many of the functions of amino acids require these same nutrients as cofactors. In short, they need these additional nutrients to be fully effective. |

| Dosage and Directions The dosage is 1 to 4 capsules a day, usually taken away from food, either 30 minutes before a meal or 1 hour afterward. Many people take AntiOx first thing in the morning, in the evening before bed and sometime during the middle of the day. If you are taking any type of amino acid product, it is most ideal to take your antioxidant with the aminos and the Tri-Phos-B. Special Considerations There are no general contraindications to this product. This product is hypoallergenic, which means that it does not contain any substances from foods considered to be common allergens. This particular formula does not contain soy. Although soy is the source of most natural forms of vitamin E, it is also one of the most common allergic foods.
| We love this antioxidant, especially because it has been so successful with our clients. We also appreciate the science behind this particular formula. The formulator is Stephen Levine, PhD the author of the one of the first major scientific works on antioxidants, Antioxidant Adaptation: Its Role in Free Radical Pathology . In this seminal work, published 20 years ago, Dr. Levine traced the connection between free radical damage and degenerative disease - and defined the protective role of antioxidants. He is among the most knowledgeable biochemists working today in the field of free radical chemistry. His formulas are widely used by physicians and are extremely reliable. * These statements have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug administration. The product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
| | Supporting Products All Basic - A multi-amino acid formula supplying those amino acids involved with immune function, resistance to stress, mental function. Ocudyne II - An excellent multivitamin high in a broad range of anti-oxidants. Tri-Phos-B - Contains the B vitamins essential to support amino acid chemistry. B-1, B-2, and especially B-6 in the bioactive form in an enteric-coated tablet to allow maximum absorption.
| Our moods and sleep are regulated by powerful brain chemistry, particularly serotonin, one of our most important neurotransmitters. Low serotonin levels have been identified as a cause of depression in hundreds of research studies. Serotonin is made in the brain from tryptophan, an essential amino acid. Tryptophan is the raw material the brain requires to make serotonin. Tryptophan is a component of most proteins. Unfortunately, stress can deplete tryptophan. A number of other factors can also lead to tryptophan deficiencies, which in turn result in low levels of serotonin. Extensive research has shown that tryptophan supplements raise serotonin levels. By using a nutritional supplement, we are simply providing the raw material the body needs to produce serotonin. Raising serotonin is a vital step in addressing depression, anxiety, PMS mood swings, and insomnia. The ability of tryptophan to support the body's production of this absolutely critical neurotransmitter is what makes tryptophan such an important, sought-after nutritional product. | | | | | |
